What Is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent treatment for your eyebrows which is different for each client. It’s tailored depending on the client’s eyebrow size, colour and shape.

This treatment uses a pen-like tool with a nib that is a sloped blade containing 10-12 micro needles at the end.

The needles lightly scratch the surface without penetrating, using featherweight strokes to apply a medical-grade pigment on the epidermis layer of the skin. This creates very fine, realistic, and natural-looking hair strokes.

Is Microblading basically getting your brows tattooed?

Microblading is not the same as tattooing. This procedure affects only the upper layers of the skin. This means it only lasts around 12-18 months.

If you didn’t get a top-up, the effect will fade away and you’d never know you had Microblading.

‘Brow tattooing’ on the other hand is permanent as it goes deep into the skin layers and can last year or even forever.

How long does Microblading last?
